About TecFlax
Engineers who stay after the system goes live.
TecFlax Solutions Limited was founded in 2014 by a team of young engineers specialising in telecommunications, electrical and electronics engineering. Twelve years on, the same principle holds: we implement what we can support, and we support what we implement.

Who we are
A multi-skilled ICT partner, not a box shifter
We are a multi-skilled ICT services provider for businesses, organisations and institutions. Our engineers are professionally registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya, and the team holds vendor certifications across Linux, cloud, databases, mail collaboration, security and monitoring.
We work with individual clients, companies, organisations and learning institutions across the globe, both on site and remotely. Most of our work is platform work, and platforms do not care about borders. Where being in the room matters, we get in the room.
What we actually sell is customised solutions rather than shelf products. Requirements differ from one organisation to the next, so we scope for the problem in front of us instead of fitting you to a package that already existed. That includes telling you when a cheaper option would serve you better.
The range is deliberate. Open-source ERP and CRM, Zimbra mail collaboration, certified ICT skills training, cloud and Linux infrastructure, backup and recovery, Oracle MySQL Enterprise, cyber security, asset tracking, and biometric attendance. These correlate with one another, which means one accountable team can carry a project end to end rather than handing you between vendors.

What drives us
Vision and mission
Our vision
To provide agile, innovative and robust value-for-money customised ICT solutions that enable our clients to be effective and productive, through optimisation of operations and maximisation of efficiency and profit, with client satisfaction at the heart of it.
Our mission
To produce innovative, customised technology that lowers our clients’ operating costs, improves efficiency and increases profit, so that money can go back into the business. We work around how you already operate and integrate technology into it, because as your business grows, ours grows with you.
How we work
Six values, and what they actually mean
Values are easy to write and harder to live by, so here is what each of ours changes about the way we behave on your project.
01
Ownership
We accept personal accountability for meeting the business need. We treat your systems the way we would treat our own, with your long-term interest in mind rather than the next invoice.
02
Integrity
We operate within the letter and the spirit of the law, and we are honest and straightforward with each other and with you. If we get something wrong, you will hear it from us first.
03
People
We attract and recruit the finest people we can find, and we promote and reward on performance alone. The men and women of TecFlax are the asset; everything else is replaceable.
04
Quality of delivery
We treat colleagues, customers and users the way we would want to be treated, and we work on the basis that people do their best work when there is a foundation of trust.
05
Trust
We are determined to be the best at the things that matter most, and we have a compelling desire to improve rather than to coast on what we already know.
06
Innovation
We push for a high level of innovation and creativity on every project we run, including finding the simpler answer when the clever one is not the right one.

We would rather lose the sale than sell you something you do not need.
Concentric diversification is the formal phrase for what we do: a range of ICT services that correlate with one another, so one accountable team can carry a project end to end. In practice it means the person who recommends a solution is the person who has to support it, which changes what gets recommended.
Accreditation
Credentials that are checkable, not decorative
Anyone can claim expertise. These are the registrations and partner statuses that can be independently verified, which is the point of holding them.
Start with the problem, not the product
Tell us what is not working and what it is costing you. We will come back with a practical proposal, and we will tell you honestly if the answer is smaller and cheaper than you expected.
