LogicalDOC is a Java-based document management system available in a Community Edition and an Enterprise Edition, the latter adding clustering, advanced reporting and dedicated support.

LogicalDOC replaces that with versioning on every modification, granular permissions, workflow, and an audit trail that stands up to inspection.
