Most website outages we are called about are not clever. A domain lapsed, a certificate expired on a Saturday, or a site outgrew a hosting plan nobody had reviewed in four years. All three are avoidable and all three are administrative rather than technical.

We host websites and handle domain registration and SSL certificate registration as one arrangement, which means one renewal calendar, one place to call, and no argument about whose responsibility the expiry was.

Hosting is sized to what the site actually does. A brochure site and an application with a database have genuinely different needs, and paying for the second while running the first is a common and quiet waste.
